2024 Vancouver International Jazz Festival

For this concept direction, I leaned into the celebratory spirit of attending a live jazz show. The illustrations feature a lively cast of dancing musicians, expressive characters, and whimsical animals, all moving together in rhythm. The mix of performers and playful figures reflects the diversity, spontaneity, and improvisational energy that define jazz.

A vibrant summer colour palette amplifies the sense of movement and warmth, shifting effortlessly between bold nighttime performances and cheerful daytime programming. Although this direction was not selected, it captures an exploration of character-driven storytelling and the joyful atmosphere of the festival.
