Project details

As part of an interior refresh at the Vancouver Lookout, I helped evolve the brand language to feel bright, welcoming, and distinctly tourism-driven within a high-traffic public landmark.

The centrepiece of the project was a series of 42 interpretive panels positioned around the full 360-degree observation deck. Each panel aligned precisely with the view in front of it, identifying neighbourhoods, landmarks, and key buildings in real time. Layered maps and photography invited visitors to orient themselves within the city and see beyond the skyline, transforming the experience from passive viewing to active discovery.

Supporting environmental graphics and wayfinding ensured clarity within the circular space while maintaining a cohesive visual rhythm throughout.

In partnership with Hello BC, I also designed a curved twenty-foot backlit wall showcasing British Columbia’s major regions. Immersive photography and concise tourism messaging extended the journey outward, inspiring visitors to explore well beyond Vancouver.

The result is an elevated, interactive environment that turns a panoramic view into a curated introduction to the city and the province beyond.
